As part of the research team, you can expect unique and educational experiences. You will collect data, observe animals and get to know life on board a sailing ship with all its facets. The quality of the habitat is also examined by quantifying marine pollution by plastic. <\/span> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_video src=”https:\/\/youtu.be\/G2Y-xGWzbbs” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Interested individuals can participate in the research project. There is space for 6-7 participants per expedition week. The participation costs cover food and lodging of the participants on board and help to finance the project.<\/p>\n The on-board language of the KYMA expeditions is German. The research data help to obtain a comprehensive picture of the use of these marine areas by the animals and to document possible problem areas in which human activities have a negative impact on the marine world. Effective protective measures can only be demanded on the basis of conclusive research data.
