Menkab il respiro del mare: Training for students in cetacean biology

The Mediterranean Sea is home to a wide variety of whale species. There are regions where these animals are particularly common during the summer months. One of these areas is the Pelagos Marine Mammal Sanctuary. Research in this area is very active, and it is important to pass on this knowledge to future scientists. 

Our partner organization Menkab, based in northern Italy, has been researching whales and dolphins in the Pelagos Sanctuary for several years. At the same time, the organization is very active in environmental education and training for students.
